Biography:
Lynne is a self taught artist ,Born in Jarrow,England 1973.
After winning a packet of felt tip pens in an art competition at the age of five and completing her first commissioned portrait at twelve years old , she knew she was put on the world to paint and she has never looked back. Lynne managed to achieve her dream of becoming professional in 2009
Over the years her style has developed and improved. Inspired by nature, travel, (in particularly the colours and textures of Rome), Wildlife, romance, classical art and music, she is a passionate painter of beautiful, expressive, large, (increasingly more abstract) images. Her favourite medium is Acrylic on canvas.
She has exhibited extensively. Her first very sucsessful solo exhibition was at the Oxmarket Centre of Art in Chichester March 2011.
Lynne has acheived the following Awards:
WINNER of the Derek Davis award 2012, Arundel gallery trail Visitors favourite artist
Commended finalist in the SAA artist of the year 2010 competition
Finalist in the BBC WILDLIFE ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2010 with 'Nothing to do' and 'Sunday lie in' Finalist again in 2011 with 'Here comes trouble'.
WINNER of the Christmas card design for highbury college and the National year of reading.
A highly commended award from the Portsmouth museum for 'No more to give' in 2008.
